Did you see our billboard?

Over Giving Tuesday, we were excited to hire out TWO billboards along I64 in the Richmond, VA-area to spread the word about period poverty in our community. Did you happen to see them? Let us know in the comments!

Many thanks to the Alliance for Period Supplies for funding this endeavor. Raising awareness about period poverty and its many impacts is a large part of our mission, and we couldn’t do it without their support.

VPFW Period Supply Drive For Sylvia’s Sisters

Virginia Physicians for Women is generously collecting period products to donate to menstruators in need through Sylvia’s Sisters!

Help us break the cycle of period poverty by donating tampons, individually-wrapped pantyliners, pads, leggings, and underwear at any VPFW location through May 31, 2024.

Students Form PERIOD Chapter

In 2020, Maggie Walker students partnered with Sylvia’s Sisters to help get legislation passed at the state level requiring public schools to provide free period products in restrooms. Those students have now established a chapter of PERIOD, a national organization committed to fighting period poverty and stigma through service, education, and advocacy.
