Financial support from corporate partners is critical for us to provide period products, develop educational resources, and raise awareness of period poverty.
Sylvia’s Sisters provides our corporate partners with unique opportunities to demonstrate your company’s values and commitment to women’s and youth health initiatives in your community. We effectively engage the employees of your company through product drives, kit packing events and more.
How can my company and its employees get involved?
We have prepared a toolkit that showcases all we do as an organization and outlines our partnership tiers.
We have 12-month sustaining partnerships in multiple tiers that offers the most engagement over time. We also have options for more targeted partnerships around specific events:
- Annual fundraiser (April)
- Giving Tuesday (EOY)
- Period Poverty Awareness Week (May)
We are also happy to develop a custom partnership opportunity that works for your organization.
If you’re interested in pursuing a partnership, please email information@sylviassisters.org.
How will you engage my employees?
Becoming a partner allows us to engage your employees in several ways:
- A period-kit-packing team builder for up to 50 employees
- Period product drives
- Learning opportunities around period poverty and its impacts
- Coordinating a team for our annual trivia night fundraiser
Can I host a volunteer event for my employees?
Yes! Sylvia’s Sisters provides menstruators with period product kits — a neat, discreet package that contains a variety of period products to last them through their cycle.
Many local corporations like Altria, Dominion and McKesson, have hosted kit packing events. They are a great way to engage your employees in a team-building activity while also doing good for your community.
Other ways to get involved.
- We always accept financial support through donations.
- As a largely volunteer-run organization, we are in constant need of volunteers, specifically those with professional skills looking to donate their talents to a good cause. Encourage your employees to volunteer.
- Let us know if your company matches employees’ charitable donations, and we’ll add your name to our donate page.
- Organize a period product drive for your business.
