Volunteer

Sylvia’s Sisters is 100% volunteer run. This means that all of our donations go directly to the cause. At the moment, we have a need for professional volunteers in marketing and development. If you’re interested in helping in any way, please fill out the form below. Thank you!

Name
Donation Drives - (minimal commitment) We are constantly running donation drives for menstrual hygiene products and are in need for individuals to help hold drives. These can be individual drives that you run through a school, church, or with family and friends or through a corporation/business. We would also like volunteers to help promote our Amazon Wish List.
Packing Kits (minimal commitment). We need folks to take the product (pads/tampons) we receive and purchase and package it into kits that easily fit in backpacks or purses. We'll bring the product to you and provide instruction (it's easy to do while you're watching TV!).
Hidden
Distributions (minimal commitment) We need boots on the ground volunteers, who are willing to either distribute products or help with organizing and doing inventory for our storage space. We distribute products to community groups throughout the Greater Richmond Area. You will need a means of transportation and feel comfortable navigating around town and meeting others.
Fundraising - Sylvias Sisters is all volunteer and we rely on donations and fundraisers. We would love an energetic, enthusiastic and creative person to build on this base and grow our support levels.
Hidden
Accounting Advisor - We are looking for an accountant to act in an advisory role on accounting and tax issues for charities. You will be working in coordination with our current treasurer.
